Springtime in the garden
A few pictures from the garden.


This is Bougainvillea. The colorful leaf clusters are often mistaken for flowers, but the actual flowers are small and white.

Pride of madeira. These have a very showy blue or purple flower spikes. This is a closeup of the interesting spikes when still off-flower.

The early fig crop is coming along.

These are pomegranate buds and flowers.

After they drop their petals, the stamens live on for a while…

Then they dry as the fruit begins to form.

No flowers yet, but here is the spring foliage of Rosa Rugosa.
